New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the National Flag and delivered 7th consecutive Independence Day speech from the Iconic Red Fort of India this morning. There is a strict social distancing followed and safety measures were taken in place as the celebrations is happening amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This was the second Independence Day Speech since PM Modi won the second time.

1. India faced the rule for centuries. All efforts were made to destroy our nation, our tradition, our culture, but they have underestimated our determination and belief. We overcome with victory at the end.
2. Those who were finding new places to put their flags and wanted to expand their empires underestimated us. The world also saw two world wars and many nations faced destruction, but we rose through it all. Our struggle was seen by the world.

8. As we celebrate the 74th Independence Day, we are looking forward to the ahead milestone-our 75th Independence Day. As we lead ahead, it will bring new energy and determination to the nation forward. When we will reach the milestone, we will celebrate in Grand manner.
9. Today, we are focusing to take India to a new height, to build a New India-an atma-nirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant) India. India will definitely achieve that because it is from the fact of evidence from the history that when India thinks of something, it achieves it. The Self-Reliant India has now became the mantra of 130 crore people.
10. How long we will depend for finished product import by exporting raw materials? Now the time has come to close this cycle. India must manufacture all the products which it consumes and also export to the world what we grow.
