SUPREME COURT’S CONCERN FOR THE MAJOR
At the time of granting protection for the major chief commissioner of Mumbai police, Parambir Singh.
The Supreme Court has also shown its concern for the running battle between Singh and former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh who was also ordered to be present at the time of investigation by the supreme court as he was also considered as a suspect by the senior IPS officers of National Congress Party as he was alleged for collecting bribe from the locals amounting to Rs 100 crore.
ccccc’s counsel told a bench of justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Mm Sundresh that the officer haven’t escaped from the country fearing to lose his life in the hand of Maharashtra police as he was getting targeted. Puneet bali the advocate of singh has given this information and also said that his client has no faith in the central police and will reach before CBI only if his probe is transferred from Maharashtra police to central agency.
This scenario of the police authorities is causing disturbance for the locals as they were not able to trust police serving the area.
By the ongoing controversies, it can be said that the petitioner shall join the site of investigation but will not be arrested.
