In the winter session of the parliament, PM Narendra Modi have given confirmation that the scheme named Garib Kalyan Yojana which was actually made for the welfare of people in the critical condition of this COVID is now extended till March 2022 so that the people will not face any difficulties as a new variant of COVID was also discovered.
The government authorities of India have launched a scheme named Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana for the purpose of providing free grains to the people of India. During the pandemic, many people have become jobless and nobody was able to go out of the home this pandemic for the fear of getting COVID positive. In this critical condition created by this virus, the scheme launched by the Indian government is being very helpful to the citizens.
Benefits of Beneficiaries
This scheme is providing free grains to almost 80 crore people of the country and is causing a total of 2,60,000 crore to the country’s fund, under this scheme the poor citizens of the country were getting a total of 5kg of rice per head per month which is leading to a cost ration of almost 81.35 crore.
