First Omicron Case Detected In India

According to the information given by the Union Health Ministry of India; on Thursday 2 fresh cases of the new variant of COVID 19 named Omicron has been detected in Karnataka and also for the first time in India.

Basavraj Bommai the chief minister of Karnataka has taken a decision to hold a meeting with the health minister of the state for discussing what kind of safety measurements they should take for getting control over the spreading of the new variant of COVID19 named Omicron with high mutations and will also have a discussion on what kind of restrictions they should impose in the state.

 Lav Agarwal, joint secretary of the Health Ministry, has given us the information that no severe symptoms have been seen in this new variant of COVID which was first detected in the state of Karnataka. Among the two cases first detected in Karnataka, one of them was a 66 year old male and the other was a 46 year old male and they have also seen that the symptoms of this new variant were mild.

This has created a threatening environment among the citizens of India that they might get affected by this new variant, the government has requested the people to follow the COVID protocols to use hand masks and sanitizers and urged them to not panic as they were taking all the necessary precautions for safeguarding them.
