During a security Operation in Nagaland by the Indian Army, army personnel has mistaken the local coal miners of Nagaland to be insurgents who were returning from home, after completing their work in a pickup van singing songs on Saturday evening, during this misunderstanding the army personnel has started the firing which leads to a death of 6 civilians.
In this operation, 14 civilians along with one soldier of the Indian Army was killed in two consecutive firing incidents at Mon district of Nagaland. This drastic incident held at Nagaland has disturbed the locals of the country because how a misunderstanding has turned into a live taking drastic incident has set an example that before completely getting information about something we shouldn’t take a decision as it will always result in a great loss.
Decision Taken By the Government Authorities
The government authority has imposed section 144 on the Mon District of Nagaland due to this incident and also shut down the Internet services in the area so that no one can share information or images of these incidents on social media.
Chief Ministers View about This Incident
Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio is going to visit the state to attend the funeral of civilians who have died in this drastic incident, the funeral might continue up to 12:30 PM.
Neiphiu Rio has mentioned in a recent press report that this action of the Indian Army was quite disappointing and has also stated that a high level Special Investigation team will probe the case in the court and assured that he will do justice with the Civilians and their family.
