The professor of Health and Environmental Sciences at Kyoto University specialized in mathematical modeling of infectious diseases, Hiroshi Nishiura has given the information that this new variant of covid causing virus is 4 times more transmissible than the previous strains of viruses.
He has also stated that this virus is causing mild illness to the affected that’s why a massive increase in the Omicron positive people of South Africa is still not leading to an overwhelming condition of the hospitals.
