On this Day on 13 December 2001, a tragic incident happened at the parliament house of the country in which around five terrorists have attacked the building of the parliament house.
In this tragic incident around 8 security personnel have lost their lives while saving the country’s jewel the parliament house from the hand of the terrorists. By showing their bravery and their utmost devotion towards their motherland they have sacrificed their lives while fighting against the terrorists by successfully killing all the terrorists.
President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the other Union Ministers have paid a tribute on the 20th anniversary of the parliament attack in the memory of the brave soldiers and also for the gardener who has died during this tragic incident.

“I pay my tributes to all those security personnel who were martyred in the line of duty during the Parliament attack in 2001. Their service to the nation and supreme sacrifice continues to inspire every citizen”.
President Kovind tweeted
“I pay homage to brave security personnel who laid down their lives on this day in 2001, defending the Parliament of the world’s largest democracy against a dastardly terrorist attack. The nation shall forever remain grateful to them for their supreme sacrifice.”
