Another 113 adults continued with their usual cares which involves ibuprofen and other pain medicines.

The Cognitive Behavioral Therapy have been already recommended for most thoughtfully presented guidelines, Cherkin said. According to American Pain Society and the American College of Physicians suggest the doctors to consider the therapy with other non-drug options such as massage therapy, acupuncture, and exercise therapy for the patients of lower chronic back pain.

The Centers for Disease Prevention and Control released the guidelines last week giving advice to the physicians to prescribe therapies such as physical therapy and cognitive therapy and the medications like Tylenol for patients with chronic pain.
There has been a lot of researches suggesting the benefits of cognitive therapy, improving the mood and disability of people with various types of chronic pain including neck, back, and shoulder pain. But there has to be a lot of research done which help people with the chronic pain conditions.
