On Tuesday the first meeting over the topic of Biological Diversity Amendment Bill will held between the Parliamentary Select Committee and all the stakeholder of the Biological Diversity Amendment Bill throughout the country prior to submitting the suggestions as members of the committee has pointed out many loopholes in the projected legislation and also for the purpose of requesting an extension in the time period that was given to the bill to finalize the process in accordance with the increasing number of Covid Positive cases all over the Country.

The Biological Diversity Amendment Bill was introduced in the winter session of the Parliament last year by the Lok Sabha Community and was referred to a committee of 13 members which was directed to submit the report in the first week of the Budget session this year.

The committee was headed by Sanjai Jaiswal, the BJP member of the Lok Sabha and the committee consists of 21 Members of Parliament of the Lok Sabha and 10 Members of Parliament from Rajya Sabha.
