Vaishno Devi Yatra to Resume from September 14, 2025 Shrine Board Confirms Arrangements

The eagerly anticipated Vaishno Devi Yatra is set to kick off again on September 14, 2025, bringing joy to countless devotees across the nation. The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has confirmed that all the necessary preparations are in place to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage for those visiting the revered cave shrine nestled in the Trikuta Hills of Jammu & Kashmir.

Pilgrims can once more begin their spiritual journey from Katra, the base camp, and make their way up to the holy cave to receive the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi. The pilgrimage had been temporarily halted due to heavy rains and safety concerns, but with the weather improving and pathways restored, authorities are ready to welcome back visitors.

“We’ve made sure there’s plenty of security, medical support, and food options available along the entire route,” a spokesperson from the Shrine Board shared.

They’ve also launched special sanitation efforts to keep the yatra route clean and tidy. This year, the yatra is expected to draw in lakhs of pilgrims, which will not only enhance religious tourism but also give a boost to the local economy.

Authorities are encouraging devotees to pre-register online, bring a valid ID, and adhere to safety guidelines while trekking. For more detailed guidelines and live updates, devotees can check out the official Vaishno Devi Shrine Board website.
