CSK vs RR IPL 2020, Who won Yesterday’s Match

  • Chennai Superkings and Rajasthan Royals clashes in the 37th Match of IPL 2020.
  • RR won by unbeatable 98 runs and moved CSK to number 8 on the points table.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) got defeated by Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 7 wickets and RR registered their 4th win of the tournament making their hopes alive.

With 3 wickets down in just 28 runs, RR was locked under pressure, but however batting shown by the Skipper Steve Smith and Jos Buttler gives the smooth rail. With this magnificent batting of the both the experienced players RR sealed an empathetic win over CSK.

RR shifted their opening to Robin Uthappa and Ben Stokes to chase the modest 126 runs. Though Stokes was looking aggressive and tried ti hit every ball and going hard against Deepak Chahar who sent him back to the pavilion.

Uthappa on the other side showed very poor shot selection and ended his innings at 4 off 9 deliveries with a simple lo to the keeper at the back. Chahhar got another star play Samson nick behind the stumps.

At this point CSK was all in the field with Men in Pink. Deepak Chahar and Hazlewood finished their quotas very early as they took couple of important wickets very early.

The main turning point of the game was the LBW shout against Steve Smith that looked slight aggressive on the field- however the thin line inside edge save the RR Skipper.

From that point, the game changed and the ball did not hold grips or turned by the CSK bowlers as much as it gave to the RR’s tweakers. A masterclass batting performance Steve Smith merely watched from the Buttler’s side and ensured the partnership of 98 runs that was unbroken by the CSK bowlers.

CSK Struggled a lot their way to 125/5 :

On winning the toss, CSK opted to bat in Abu Dhabi and wanted a bright start from Sam Curran and Faf du Plessis. The man always in the form, Du Plessis had rarely be seen early dismissals but got held sharp catch by Buttler inside the circle. The second attacking batsman, Shane Watson came on the pitch and hit his third ball straight into Rahul Tewatia’s hand at Short Mid-Wicket.

The innings was then placed into the hands of game finisher MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja. Both rotated strikes but were unable to give a boundary or hit boundaries at regular intervals-they failed. They had their 50 partnership in 46 balls only by rotating strikes.

The CSK Skipper got run-out by a few millimeter. Bringing Kedar Jadhav in. he added 4 in 7 balls and this was not expected by him and his team was looking out of question this time of winning the match.

RR bowling performance was incredibly mind blowing with conceding 5 runs per over with 1 wicket in hand in every over and you could expect any one as the Prize Winner of Man of the Match, but it was Jos Buttler who got declared the man of the Match with his batting performance.
