Wuhan (China): China’s coronavirus emerging city Wuhan on Friday abruptly increases its deaths tolls by 50 percent, said that many of the fatal cases were “mistakenly reported” or has been missed entirely in amid growing global doubts about the Chinese transparency.
The city govt. reported to the social media that 1,290 deaths have been added to tally in Wuhan, from where the global pandemic has emerged. Due to this vast majority of China has suffered fatalities from COVID-19. This has bring to the total death counts in the city to 3,869. Based on the official national data that has been released earlier on Friday that this change pushes the nationwide death count to nearly 39 percent which is approximately 4632.

China has comes under extreme pressure over the coronavirus from the western powers by the United States, which raised doubts about the Chinese transparency, probing that the virus was actually originated in Wuhan laboratory. China said that the virus has emerged from the Wuhan food market whose merchandise included the exotic wild animals sold for human consumption.
The epidemic control and prevention department of China gave several reasons for the missed cases, including the fact that the medical staffs were overwhelmed in the early weeks where the infections topped, leading to “late reporting or mis-reporting”. They also said that the testing and the treatment facilities were insufficient and some patients died at home and thus their reports of deaths were not properly recorded and reported.
