More than 1,000 rockets have now been fired by Palestinian militants, Israel says. Israel has carried out hundreds of air strikes, destroying two towers in Gaza on Tuesday and Wednesday.

What had caused the Violence between them?
The fighting between Israel and Hamas was triggered on day of increasing clashes between Palestinian and Israelis police at a hilltop compound in East Jerusalem.
The site is taken by both Muslim, who call it the Haran al-Sharif (Noble Sanctuary) and Jews for whom it is known as the Temple Mount. Hamas demanded to remove police from there and the nearby areas of Arab District of ShiekhJarrah, where Palestinian families faced eviction by Jewish settlers.
