Don’t be smug, work hard and learn from your forerunner: PM Narendra Modi tells new ministers

During his first interactive session with the new members of the reshuffled Council of ministry. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advised them to work hard and learn from their forerunners, while also cautioning them that “there is no room for complacency”.

Keeping in mind the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country, the PM consecutively told them, to request people to keep taking all the necessary precaution. The PM also mentioned that even a single mistake would cause a great impact and may weaken the fight against pandemic.

Prime Minister Modi also applause his former ministerial colleagues who were dropped after the cabinet reshuffled on Wednesday, they all have equally contributed in the development work executed by his government and advised the newly appointed ministers to learn from their experience.

Interacting with member of the reshuffled CoM. PM Modi said that some leader are now not part of the government due to certain situation and circumstances, in an evident references to Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javedekar who resigned before the cabinet rearrangement.

The sources said PM Modi appreciated Prasad and Javedaker for their great contribution. Other ministers who quit the government on Wednesday includes Harsh Vardhan (Health Minister) and Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ (Educational minister).

The PM also showed concern over the sight of crowded places with people not Covid-19 norms saying that there should be no spot for carelessness or complacency and that a single mistake got create a huge impact and may weaken our fight against the pandemic.

“This is not a pleasant sight and it should instil a “sense of fear in us” he said, referring to the pictures and the videos of crowded places which were trending in social media. People are seen without wearing mask and completing ignoring social distancing norms, the PM stated according to the sources.

He addressed India’s fight against the pandemic is underway with fully fledged with the vaccination programs going on steadily and testing and testing number also consistently high. “In such a time there should be no space for carelessness or complacency. A single mistake would have far-reaching impact and weaken the fight to overcome COVID-19” the PM reportedly said.
