A DANGEROUS EARTHQUAKE OF MAGNITUDE 6.1 HAS HIT THE INDIA MYANMAR BORDER REGION

According to the information given by the national center of seismology, a dangerous earthquake of magnitude 6.1 struck the border region of India-Myanmar early in the morning on Friday at around 5:13 AM. It was also mentioned in the report given by the national center of seismology that the quivering of the earthquake was felt at almost 73 km away from the epicenter of the earthquake.

The quivering of the earthquake was felt by the people of Chittagong in Bangladesh, Kolkata located in eastern India. This information was collected from the post given by the European Mediterranean Seismological center and also from the posts shared on twitter by different people living in different parts of the country.

The European Mediterranean Seismological center has assumed the magnitude of the shake around 5.8. It was also mentioned that the epicenter was about 126 km away from the southeastern side of Aizawl in Northeastern India.

EFFECT OF THE EARTHQUAKE ON PEOPLE

This massive earthquake has created a disturbance for the people of the country as an earthquake of high magnitude can also disrupt public services like transport and communication system, and it may also destroy buildings, factories, shops, roads etc. and it can also make many people homeless.
