According to the information given by the national center of seismology, a dangerous earthquake of magnitude 6.1 struck the border region of India-Myanmar early in the morning on Friday at around 5:13 AM. It was also mentioned in the report given by the national center of seismology that the quivering of the earthquake was felt at almost 73 km away from the epicenter of the earthquake.

The quivering of the earthquake was felt by the people of Chittagong in Bangladesh, Kolkata located in eastern India. The European Mediterranean Seismological center has assumed the magnitude of the shake around 5.8. It was also mentioned that the epicenter was about 126 km away from the southeastern side of Aizawl in Northeastern India.
