According to the information collected from the reports given by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, astronomers have discovered a planet in the solar system which resembles the shape of a potato.
Some specifications of the planet discovered by the astronomers
The astronomers confirmed that the potato-shaped planet is present in the Constellation Hercules of the solar system and was named WASP – 103b, the distance of the planet from the solar system where millions of stars and planets exist which are yet to be discovered was about 1,800 light years.

According to the reports given by the news agency AFP the planet WASP – 103b was far closer to its star WASP 103, the distance between the planet and its star is almost 50 times closer than the distance of the earth from the sun, the reports also confirmed that the planet needs only a period of 22 hours to complete its one cycle which is much lower as compare to the time taken by the Earth as it takes 365 days to complete one revolution.
