The Government authorities of Nagaland have taken a decision to extend the most controversial law of the state AFSPA (the armed forces special power act). The AFSPA is extended by the government for a period of another 6 months.
Know what AFSPA
AFSPA or the armed forces special power act is an act launched by the Parliament of India which gives some special powers to the Armed Forces of India for the purpose of maintaining public order in disturbed areas.
The rights groups of Nagaland and also the state Government of the state were making requests to the central government of the state for the purpose of withdrawing the laws of AFSPA. After the terrible incident that happened on 4th of December 2021 when the Para special forces killed 13 civilians by mistake in the way when they were returning home from their workplace, the anti AFSPA calls have become powerful. A soldier was also killed in a sudden attack by the villagers after they had surrounded the militants in anger.
According to the Information collected by the news reporters the armed forces of Kashmir have achieved another massive success by killing 6 JeM terrorists at different encounters in Jammu and Kashmir, out of the 6 terrorists killed in the encounter the force have identified 2 of the deceased as Pakistani where as the other two were the local terrorists meanwhile the remaining two terrorists were yet to be identified.

6 #terrorists of proscribed #terror outfit JeM killed in two separate #encounters. 4 among the killed terrorists have been identified so far as (2) #Pakistani & (2) local terrorists. Identification of other 02 terrorists is being ascertained. A big #success for us,”.
The officials have given the information that one encounter was held in the Kulgam District whereas another was held in the Anantnag district both of the places were located in South Kashmir. The force also added that when they were in the search operation at the Mirhama area of Kulgham district for the purpose of finding the hiding terrorists, the terrorists have started firing on them. Meanwhile, the other encounter took place in the Nowgam Shahabad area of Dooru in neighboring Anantnag and in this Incident a policeman was injured and was hospitalized in a hospital in Anantnag.
After the state of Manipur has recorded its first Omicron patient on 27th of December 2021 at the Imphal district of the state. The Government authorities of Manipur have taken a decision to impose curfew in the state for the purpose of having a control over the spreading of Omicron.
Guidelines brought by the Chief Secretary of the state
In accordance with the increasing rate of Omicron positive patients throughout the country. Rajesh Kumar the Chief Secretary of the state and also the chairman of the state disaster management authority have brought some new guidelines for the locals to follow. As after lots of precautionary measures taken by the government authorities of the country the spread of this new strain of Virus is not coming under control. The people must have to follow the rules made by the government for the purpose of protecting themselves from the hand of this dangerous virus.
Sites where the government has imposed restrictions
According to the guidelines released by the Chief Secretary of the state, all kinds of music concerts along with the outdoor celebrations and also the places where people used to gather for the purpose of celebrating the eve of New Year were restricted to control the spreading of this new virus.
Despite all the precautions taken by the Government authorities of the country. The number of Omicron cases throughout the country was rising day by day which is a sign of danger for the citizens throughout the country as most of the population might get affected by this new variant.
Report of the Increasing Omicron tally of Tuesday
The country has recorded around a number of 653 Omicron cases till the morning of Tuesday. The state of Maharashtra is at the top of the list by reporting the highest number of Omicron cases which is around 167 patients whereas the former capital of the country Delhi is at the 2nd position with around 165 patients of the Omicron variant.
Safety Precautions taken by the government
In accordance with the increasing Omicron tally the Government authorities has also given approval to the COVID vaccines named Corbevax and Covovax along with the antiviral drug named Molnupiravir for the purpose of using it in the adult patients in emergency situations and have also imposed night curfews on several states where a huge number of Omicron cases were getting reported.

The former capital of the country has seen a massive gear up in the Omicron cases in the last 24 hours by reporting 238 Omicron patients from the state. Right now the country has reported a total number of 781 cases in the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to Inaugurate 23 projects in Haldwani at Uttarakhand On Thursday for the purpose of working for the welfare of the citizens throughout the Country.

According to the information given by the National Center of Seismology at around 5:31 AM today, an earthquake of magnitude around 4.3 has joggled the earth of the Andaman and Nicobar islands the National Center of Seismology has also added that the depth of the earthquake which has stroked the Island was about 100 km.
Still, now no reports of casualties and damage of certain infrastructures at the site of the Earthquake were reported.
