Dream 11 – CSK vs SRH IPL 2020, (CSK) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Match Highlights

  • Abdul Samad defended 20 runs off last over against Chennai Super Kings and bring a 7 run win for Sunrisers.
  • This is the second win for Sunrisers Hyderabad of the IPL season 2020.

Sunrisers Hyderabad got the second win of IPL 2020 as the young Abdul Samad defended 28 runs off the last over in the 14th match of IPL 2020.

Sunrisers Hyderabad was forced to turn to either Abhishek Sharma or Abdul Samad to bowl the last six balls. The team had to take the risk as the lead pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar walked off the field picking up an injury in the starting 18th over.

David Warner, SRH Skipper, tossed the ball to Samad and youngster delivered in disastrous fashion spraying the balls to the leg side for five wides. He soon managed to bring back himself in correct position and managed to restrict CSK within the 7 runs of total.

However, we have seen in the chase that CSK has lost the momentum with Shane Watson chopping the stumps in just third over of his delivery. Ambati Rayudu has returned from injury and lasted for just nine deliveries giving his wicket to T Natarajan on the first ball of 5th over. In the 5th ball of the same over Faf Du Plessis caught short by a throw from Priyam Garg.

At No 5, MS Dhoni walked into bat at the halfstage when CSK needs 121 runs off the last ten overs. Ravindra Jadeja struggled initially, but in Natarajan’s 14th Over gave CSK some momentum in to the timeout.

Jadeja continued his fashion hitting four fours and a six in 10 balls before getting dismissed by Natarajan in the 18th over.

Although MSD was on the crease, and was visibly winded with the weather taking toll on him. It was quite difficult and a hectic task for the CSK Captain and the three-time IPL Champions fell short just by 7 runs.

SRH got the horrible start from the bat:

SRH skipper David Warner won the toss and opted to bat first but were pegged early by Deepak Chahar casting Bairstow in the first over.

The 46 run partnership between Manish Pandey and Warner seemed to be setting for late hits until the former was dismissed by Shardul Thakur with the first ball of 8th over.

The exciting part of the match was seen by Priyam Garg and Abhishek Sharma. They showed some shabby fielding from CSK side. They together put on a 77 run stand-off in just 49 deliveries before Southpaw fell to Chahar in the 18th Over.

The 12th Match of the 13th Edition of IPL 2020 saw Kolkata Knight Riders registering a strategic win against Rajasthan Royals.

The side of Steve Smith would have been unbeaten into this game, but the top order showed poor batting display and ensured that they were never in the game. A fiery spell by Jofra Archer for Rajasthan Royals while Shubham Gill & Eoin Morgan played well.

Here are the 3 tactical mistakes during the game of RR vs KKR IPL 2020. Let us have a look:

  1. Was the time correct to drop back the down order by Steve Smith?

Rajasthan Royals in the first game of IPL 2020 against Chennai Super Kings, Captain Steve Smith gave a surprise by coming to open the batting phase. He scored an astonishing fifty for his team and repeated the same in the second game against Kings XI Punjab.

Although the opening batting role suited Steve Smith and je looks dangerous in that position against the fellow team. But RR needs his presence to bat lower down the order, either at No 03 or No 04 as the team was suffering a loss of Ben Stokes. The middle order comprises of Riyan Parag, Robin Uthappa, Rahul Tewatia and Tom Curran.

This middle-order is not enough to win the game consistently one by one and it is also the fact that they play two of their matches at Sharjah, must have analyze their weak points.

  • RR looked forward to attack more on the new ball:

Rajasthan Royals have hit over 200 runs in both of their IPL tournament and the biggest reason is their initial attacking batting right in the powerplay. But as the place changes from Sharjah to Dubai, they didn’t adjust their plan of game.

Steve Smith seemed to made up his mind to attach Pat Cummins but after missing a couple of balls, the former Australian Captain got inside-edged in to the hands of Karthik behind the stumps. Consequently Samson also fell in the 5th over by a pull shot to Sunil Narine at the mid-wicket.

The rest of the top order fall soon, dashing any hope of miracle run-chase. RR needs to be more circumspect with the new ball in the coming matches.

  • RR played the game with just 4 full-time batsman:

As we have seen in the past two games of Rajasthan Royals, it had only 4 full-time batsman- Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, Steve Smith and Robin Uthappa. Smith and Samson played excellent in the first two games that took RR to win but their deficiencies exposed in this game.

RR looks very thin in the middle-order without Ben Stokes and it needs Yashasvi Jaiswal and David Miller. Going with 7 bowlers in a team is a good plan to win the match but not a suitable and sustainable in a long run.

RR must reshuffle their batting order immediately to win the next game. In the next game of IPL 2020 we might be seeing RR with good strategic plan and the batting line-up.

KKR vs SRH IPL 2020, Match Highlights –

Shubham Gill, the 21 years old batsman knocked the ball with a straight bat to the long-on walked on the other end with minimum pressure. KKR had a professional chase that hardly looked threatened by the bowling of Sunrisers Hyderabad after the early setbacks.

KKR looked slightly different from the first match where they were beaten. Players from the teams were changed. KKR welcomed the mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy and the quick kamlesh Nagarkoti, while on the other hand Mohammad Nabi & Wriddhiman Saha came to beef up the SRH middle order batting line-up.

In the middle overs, Varun bowled very well, getting SRH David Warner out in the simple return catch. It was the one from the KKR with different look in the match.

For the starters, Pat Cummins nodded of the question about his bowling at upfront, getting rid of Bairstow after cramping consistently both the openers of the room.     The first over of Kumar was very good but the next over went wrong and went for 13 runs with batting of Nitish Rana. He gave 26 runs in 13 balls ensured a successful powerplay from KKR. Kumar finished his phase of bowling with 3-0-29-0 by giving 10 runs an over while the required Run-rate was 7 approximate.
  • Sunil Narine (KKR)
    In the game where three KKR players valued for- Russell nailing the Yorkers at close, Cummins was lethal and economical with the new ball with Morgan professional with the chase. But the question marked around Sunil Narine and he remained one to be answered.
    In the both previous game, Narine had insufficient impact at the top order batsman but this time he was even hard to get away. However in the match where many KKR bowlers excelled, but Narine was not able to get even one. His figures were 4-0-31-0 and it was not bad either.
  • Jonny Bairstow (SRH)
    SRH in 2019 have commanding performance in the first few games but nothing much showed in the rest. They managed to sneak through NRR largely due to Bairstow and Warner.
    With Warner being dip in form, it seems for Bairstow to have the momentum in the SRH innings as he dill great in the previous game against RCB.

    With leaving the field for 5 off 10 with off-stump pegged by Aussie, Bairstow left his mates marooned with breaking expectations.
    Manish Pandey, not a batsman but find timings to hit and had Bairstow saw the early storm from the KKR side.

Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Capitals:

Rhea Chakraborty Arrested : She Confessed of Using Drugs

New Delhi/Mumbai: Actor Rhea Chakraborty arrested in Mumbai by the Narcotics Department after three days of interrogation with connection in Drug-Related allegations in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. The Sources said that the anti-drug agency will not be seeking her custody during the online court hearing later today. The agency said that it has the required evidence and information which it needs. The court will decide to grant her bail.

Sources said that Rhea, who dates Sushant Singh Rajput in his last days admitted for organizing drugs for the Bollywood stars and using them at times, during the hours of interrogation. She faces charges that could lead her prison upto 10 years.

Wearing a black dress, Rhea waved at the cameras as she stepped out of the police van and has been taken for a medical examination. Many of the waiting reporters mobbed and hounded her as she arrived for questioning on Sunday, which has generated a message of anger and solidarity on social media.

Rhea, the 28 years old named as an accused in the CBI investigation into Sushant Singh death on June 14, had denied of using drugs in TV interviews. According to the sources, she broke down and accepted when confronted with her brother Showik Chakraborty, who got arrested last week.

The Narcotics Agency started its inquiries based on Whatsapp Chats retrieved from Rhea’s phone which revealed of procuring drugs and supply to the customers in the Bollywood. Sources said, that on the second day of interrogation, Rhea told the Narcotics Control Bureau- “Whatever I did, I did for him(Sushant Singh Rajput)”.

In an interview to NDTV in the month of August, Rhea said that she had never consumed drugs but tried to stop Sushant. She repeatedly said that she had concern for his mental and physical health.

The Narcotics Department claimed that they have evidence linking Showik (Rhea’s brother) and Samuel Miranda (Sushant’s House Manager) in the purchase of marijuana.

The Bureau also claims that Dipesh Sawant, the cook of Sushant Singh Rajput collected and delivered 165 grams of marijuana between the month of March and June-on the orders of Rhea and Showik Chakraborty. Sawant also told the inverstigators that he had seen Sushant Singh smoking marijuana since September 2018, when he started working with Sushant.

Rhea Chakraborty is being investigated by three agencies over the allegations by Sushant’s family that she exploited Sushant for money, mentally harassed him and is having the role in the actor’s death.

Whatsapp Chats and Pics on Phone Helped to Crack Pulwama Attack: NIA

The charge-sheet contains of 13,500 sheets with 19 accused and the details of the planning and execution of the deadliest terror attacks in Kashmir last year were done from Pakistan, by Jaish-e-Mohammad’s Masood Azhar. Six names by the NIA were eliminated while seven have been arrested and five are still missing in which three of them were from Pakistan, according to NIA.

More than 40 soldiers were killed when a suicide bomber rammed his car which was full of explosives into a security convoy on 14th February last year at Pulwama. The terror-attack leads in the Air Force striking a Jaish training area in Pakistan’s Balakot and an air-battle along the Line-of-Control.


The main conspirator was Jaish terrorist Mohd Umar Farooq. son of Ibrahim Akhtar, the accused in IC 814 hijack of 1999. Ibrahim Athar is the older brother of Jaish’s Masood Azhar, the investigators said.

The charge-sheet claims that 20 Kg of RDX was brought from Pakistan in Jammu via Samba by Umar Farooq, who got killed by the special forces in Kashmir in March this year. Other explosives were procured by an e-commerce platform. The bulky NIA documents contains all the phone recordings and also the whatsapp chats including the photos of the explosives, RDX being transported found in the phone of Umar Farooq. The photographs of the three terrorists who were fabricating the bomb that was used in Pulwama are revealed.

The charge-sheet claims that after Pulwama the terrorists had planned to carry out another attack. They even arranged a car and suicide bombers but were scotch by the Indian Air Strikers in Balakot. The case by NIA rests on the material and technical evidence to establish the link between the local operatives and the handlers of Jaish in Pakistan.

The recordings of video and audio of Masood Azhar praising Pulwama Attack are also filed in the charge-sheet. Other digital imprints like the Telegram group that had a post claiming the attack indicating “100 Soldiers(Hindu) were destroyed and killed”.

More investigations are carried on to bring the case to the next level.
