The Official Sources have given the Information that Covaxin, the vaccine which is developed by Bharat Biotech in association with the Indian Council of Medical Research, is likely to be the only vaccine that will be given to the Children between the age group of 15 – 18 years.

Dr. NK Arora, the Chairman of India’s COVID – 19 working group of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization has informed that the Covaxin has shown a very good immune response in the trials done on the children.
The resources have also informed that children between this age group were going to be vaccinated from the 3rd of January 2022. Meanwhile, the precautionary dose of the frontline workers, healthcare and the citizens falling above the age group of 60 years will be given their third dose of the same vaccine from 10th of January 2022.
During the mid of this Increasing Omicron tally the decision was taken by the government authority to vaccinate the children’s who were not yet vaccinated by any kind of vaccines is going to be effective for the people across the Country as now the percentage of the Children’s getting Omicron Effected will decrease after they will be vaccinated.
This decision is going to contribute a major percentage in the efforts applied by the Government to handle the critical situation created by this new variant of COVID causing virus.
