COVID-19 Omicron Variant: Team India Tour of South Africa is delayed by a Week

A mid of the critical situation created by COVID new variant named “Omicron” detected in South Africa. After a lot of people of South Africa were affected by this new variant of COVID the government of India has taken a decision to postpone the South African tour of the Indian team for the BCCI league. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has put the squad selection on hold as they were waiting for confirmation from the Indian Government.

Sourav Ganguly, the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India has given us the information that the bilateral series between South Africa and India is on Schedule as the government of India is looking over the present condition of the Rainbow Nation.

Further information has been given by the media reporters that the selection meeting of the team is expected to hold after the results of the Kanpur test and the players who have played for the current 2 match test series against New Zealand will have to undergo a quarantine period of 8 days before travelling to South Africa.
