CSK vs DC, IPL 2020, Match Highlights, 3 Tactical Mistakes During Game

Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Capitals:

• MS Dhoni’s CSK, a harsh defeat with 44 runs to Delhi Capitals in the 7^th Match of IPL Season 2020.
• The Men in Yellow have lost 2 out of their 3 games in total.

The Chennai Super Kings have fall to the second loss in the 13^th edition of the IPL Season 2020 with Delhi Capitals. As seen in the course match, their performance wasn’t encouraging.

While the middle order were looking very rusty & shaky and it was in the hands of the spinners to revive but were underperforming. It is surprising that The Delhi Capitals have won two out of two matches they played. They have established themselves as the front runners and are blinking on the top two spots on the league table.

The match from the Dhoni’s side was not favorable again and there occurred some mistakes. We will see the mistakes which were some tactical and unfavorable.

• MS Dhoni (CSK) decided to Chase: In the third consecutive game of CSK, MS Dhoni right at the toss decided to chase citing the dew.
  While the dew was not playing a big role in the match as it has been expected in all the other two venues and also in the third one- Dubai, Abu Dhabi, & Sharjah. The team who played first yielded the major rewards.
  
  In the first innings, the new ball was coming on far better than the second one and the pacers have struggled a lot to keep the batsmen in their check.
  
  While in the second innings, without the supposed dew factor, the spinners managed to have more grip and turn to the ball. Now it will be ultimately surprising to see, if CSK won the toss and elected to field first in the next match.
  
• Spinners of CSK bowled too quickly: Another defective piece of bowling by Piyush Chawla and Ravindra Jadeja, who really struggled and did not get much turn from the pitch is surely a cause of concern from the fans.
  
  The biggest reason is the pace which they maintained in the match without giving any flight to the ball and bowling quick through the air was the main cause of losing the match.
  
  The only way to get a turn from the pitch is to bowl slow as Amit Mishra and Yuzvendra Chahal demonstrated,
  
• Puzzled Batting Order of CSK: In almost all the 3 games of IPL 2020, which CSK played has different batting orders which we have seen so far, starting from No.4 position. There can be an excuse of the injuries of Dwayne Bravo and Ambati Rayudu, but CSK created a messed up batting order and it was not clearly defined for the middle-orders.

But the Game of IPL is considered as most tight contest and CSK cannot afford to slip of early. Rayudu is considered to be fit for the next game and the major source of concern will be Jadhav.
