New Delhi: With the co-ordination of Civil Aviation Ministry, state governments, Air India and Indian Missions Abroad, the Foreign Ministry are planning for evacuation of the Indians who are abroad and looking to return home. The government sources said that the consultants are on and the Indians would return back only after the nationwide lockdown because of the coronavirus spread.

This evacuation will be made through the special flight facility or there can be local flights. Once they would be resumed and will definitely vary from state to state which totally depends on the situation of lockdown, the resource added. This will be purely on the payment basis that the abroad India would be charged to get flight tickets.
India drawing up plans to bring back its citizens stranded abroad
There are more than ten thousand Indians stranded abroad, especially in Gulf Countries and they created a diplomatic pressure on India to take their nationals back and must not exploit the hospitality being given to them since 24 March.

There are also political demands on India, especially from Kerala for the return of their men working in that region. The foreign ministry along with the state governments and Indian Missions Abroad are looking closely to the situation and register with the Indians who are abroad and want to return India. This evacuation will take place from the various countries but the citizens have to pay for the tickets. India has taken a great step in bringing several citizens stuck abroad before the lockdown has been implemented. The Domestic as well as the International flights are suspended till 3rd May and will remain suspended till the next order by the government.
India is under lockdown over a month now, to check the spread of the pandemic coronavirus as the number of cases has been increased. The total count of the patients are over 26,000 with 824 fatal reports.
