According to the reports given by the news agencies, information was obtained that the High Court of Gujarat had asked for the reports based on the present condition of the Effluent Treatment Parks.
Reason behind the Decision of Gujarat High Court
The High Court has taken this decision after hearing the news that Suo Motu Public interest Litigation has been planning to tackle the issue of the river of pollution of Sabarmati located in Ahmedabad.
Know the directives announced by the High Court of Gujarat
The court has imposed four main directives for the teams of Municipal Corporation on 7th Of January 2022 which they will follow while collecting the reports of the Effluent Treatment Parks.
1. The Ahmedabad municipal corporation and the Gujarat Pollution Control along with the Court constituting of the Joint Task force were directed to taken on the Investigation of all the Effluent Treatment Parks of the Textile Industries who have moved prior to the situation when the Gujarat High Court seeks relief after their units has shut down due to the Non adherence to the pollution norms.
2. The teams must have to submit the report of the present condition of the Effluent Treatment Parks before the date of the next hearing of the Court
3. The next hearing of the Court is scheduled on 21st January 2022
4. The Gujarat Pollution Control Board was also directed by the high court to look after the proposal made by the Arvind LTD with regard to the use of Zero Liquid Discharge Technique of Water Treatment.
