India Sees High Jump in COVID 19 in 1 Day- Ranking 5th in World Death Reports:

New Delhi (India): It has been reported anew record of a surge in coronavirus cases this morning as 55,000+ fresh infections were registered in the past 24 hours. The Union Health Ministery said, over 6.42 lakhs samples were tested on Thursday, which seems to be the highest recorded samples in a day since the starting of the pandemic COVIS-19. The country’s total count of COVID cases has crossed 16 lakh, just three days crossing 15 lakh mark.

This is the second consecutive day, that more than 50,000 new reports have been submitted. Moreover, more than 10.58 lakh patients have been recovered and the recovery rate stood at 64.54% this morning. A total of 779 patients have died since yesterday counting the total deaths to 35,747 which stands at 5th highest deaths in the world.

Here are the TOP developments on COVID-19 cases in India:

  1. It took 183 days to cross that cases to 16 lakhs. Kerala has reported COVID-19 patients on January 30. India crossed the landmark in COVID cases 110 days later.
  2. More than 60% of total reports and 50% of total deaths have been reported in the month of July. The massive hike was reported after the world’s strictest lockdown which was announced in the month of March to slow down the infection.
  3. India has tested a total of 1,88,32,970 samples till date. The positivity rate is at 8.57% and this is quite low with a country having 130 crore people.
  4. At 3.6%, India’s rate of increase in the cases is double than 1.6% in the USA and higher than Brazil’s 2.3%.
  5. Maharshtra reported the highest fresh case report on Thursday with 11,000 taking the tally to 4,11,798 cases and it is followed by Tamil Nadu (2,39,978 cases), and Delhi (1,34,403 cases).
