PM Narendra Modi Virtual Meet with all CM’s: A virtual discussion at the Lockdown situation

Before proceeding forward, let’s start with some of the highlights of PM’s video conferencing with all the Chief Ministers today on the plans for the lockdown situation. The Home Minister of the country Amit Shah who kept a low profile during both the phases of lockdown was present in today’s meet to wag his fingers and to give stern warning to the states on the violation of the lockdown situation. In the video meet PM’s trusty “gamcha” or some say it a “scarf” was visible during the conference.

The video meet lasted for 3 hours and the answer of the question for the Indian economy- will this lockdown in the world will be lifted up, is still not clear. With the uncontrollable spread of the infectious pandemic, the states and the centers are taking their steps with huge caution.

So what is the news after the meeting? The areas which are designated as “Hotspots and the Red zones” will remain closed after 3rd of May as Lockdown 3.0. Besides this, the nationwide lockdown will end but one has masks mandatorily if going out across the country. Airplanes and the trains are still out of question. The schools and the colleges will remain closed and there will be no arrangement of public transport for a while.

The Chief Minister of Odisha has recommended a month-long more extension. The leaders of the state also asked the center to release the funds- their share of the GST, ensuring the supply of PPE and the testing kits. All the leader of the state present in the video conference meet with the Prime Minister expressed their concern about the economy of the country and the migrants who are stuck in different parts of the country. Modi in his repeated versions said “Jaan hai to Jahan hai” means life is more important than the issues of the world. In the presence of the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, said that economy is solid, so need not to worry about it.

The Chief Secretary of Kerala, Tom Jose was present instead of Pinyari Vijayan, whereas, despite with the hostilities with the center the Chief Minister of Bengal Mamata Banerjee was present at the video meet.

Every state leader was getting a chance by rota so as to express their position this time. The main leaders who have spoken today were most from North-East side and other leaders were told to give suggestions and send them in writing. No sign for the stimulus package for the economy or the corporates were discussed today.

The stimulus package will be announced later this week for the economy. So we can expect another video of Prime Minister announcing a less lockdown period and the stimulus package for the economy boost and the corporate sectors and mainly the migrants stimulus package to all the way back to their The TLC News.
