On Saturday 18th of December 2021 Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to lay the foundation stone of the Ganga Expressway in a ceremony at around 1 PM in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur.
According to the Information given By the Prime Minister’s Office it was clear that the intention of PM Modi behind this project was to only provide a route to the citizens of the country via which people can connect from state to state in a very short period of time.
About the expressway
The project named Ganga Expressway will run up to 594 km and is a six lane expressway; the construction of this entire project will cost around Rs 36,200 crore. The Ganga Expressway will start near the Bijauli Village in Meerut and it will pass through the places named Judapur Dandu village in Prayagraj the expressway will pass through the places named Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Budaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and Prayagraj.
Once the construction of the Expressway will complete it will be the longest Express way of the Entire state which is going to connect the Eastern and Western regions of the state.
This project is going to give a massive gear up to the socio economic development of the country and it will be completed by the year 2024.
