Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit the state of Punjab after a period of two years for inaugurating the PGI satellite center at Ferozepur.
This visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the state of Punjab is going to be his first visit after the repeal of Farm Laws in the state as he hasn’t visited the state after the issues related to the farm laws and the protests of the farmers have started in the state on 5th of January 2020.
This project of PGI satellite was announced by the government of the United Progressive Alliance in the year 2013 which is worth Rs 450 crore.
Parminder Singh Pinki have claimed about this project
Parminder Singh Pinki who was the member of the legislative assembly that is the MLA of the Ferozepur city in that time has claimed that he has approved this project from the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and also stated that the attainment of the Land of the project was delayed due to the SAD – BJP government in the state at that time.
A huge number of people were expected to gather at the site of the Inauguration Ceremony as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to lay the foundation stone of an 8 year old project which was stopped from the last few years due to several reasons.
