New Delhi: Congress Leader Mr. Rahul Gandhi on twitter announced a video series on “how Indian Economy gets destroyed by the Modi Government” with a video clip where he states how “flawed GST, demonetization and the lockdown due to the pandemic coronavirus that hit the national economy”.
The first video will be out at 10:00 on Monday on the social media channel. Mr. Rahul Gandhi wrote on twitter for his 15.8 million followers. In the short video, Rahul Gandhi attacked BJP government on the unorganized workforce in India and said that he will give three big examples in the 26-second clip.
Rahul Gandhi remained critical of the Central government’s handling in case of economy. It said that the pandemic has hurt the goods and services tax (GST) collection and there is the shortfall of Rs. 2.35 lakh crore for fiscal 2021. The Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman called the pandemic with the hashtag “the act of God” that affected the GST collections which was retort from the former chief of Congress.
Rahul Gandhi hit the Finance Minister reiterating the same points, that the economy has been destroyed by the government’s demonetization, GST and the failed lockdown. Few days ago, Wayanad MP said “distractions through the media won’t help the poor” as the RBI had warned about the economy contraction. He also made a few suggestions.
The Government needs to spend more rather than to lend more. It is giving money to the poor and not cutting the taxes to industrialists. Restart the economy by consumption. Mr Gandhi has attacked the Central Government over handling the coronavirus pandemic with failed lockdowns that badly affected the Indian economy.
