Then in the year 2018, The Nun movie was released and all the creepiness is gone and the hockey-looking monster in a nun outfit can’t scare a child too.
04: La Llorona
This movie is based on a weeping woman who used to terrify misbehaving children. The story goes that there was a woman named Maria and in revenge after getting cheated by her husband, she drowned her own children. She killed herself also in regret and sorrow. She got banished from heaven, sent back to the Earth and left to live out her life in misery. This movie was released in 2019.
03: Midsommar
After Hereditary hit the theaters in 2018, the horror fans could not wait to watch Ari Aster’s next horror Midsommar. The film starts with the main character Dani Ardor’s death in a murder-suicide. Dani cannot uphold the situation and was not forgetting the past, so she decided to go midsommar in Sweden with her boyfriend and all the other friends and it is that point where things start and goes south. The problem with Midsommar is that it is not just scary but also confusing and exceedingly long movie.

On seeing Japan’s Aokigahara forest, also known as the Suicide Forest, there are many scary movies inspired by it. The movie includes skins-crawling around the forest. This story in the movie is about an American Woman who went to Aokigahara to search for her missing twin sisters. The bad part of the movie is that the weird sounds coming from the forest are not scary either.

The movie is based on the real events, Slender Man is exceptionally disappointing for many scary-movie lovers. When the movie was first released in the year 2009, it had ultimate creep-factor. When the children were playing in the ground and something inhumane watch them from the back side. Things turned when two 12 year old girls lured their old friend, Payton in the woods. Then again Slender Man released in 2018 but had none of the terror caused by the imaginary monsters. Characters of the girls in the movie was poorly defined and this makes the movie, dull.
