New Delhi (India): the Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah has been tested positive for COVID-19 pandemic which has infected more than 17 lakh 50 thousand people in the country. According to the sources, he has been admitted to Medanta Hospital which is located in Gurugram, Haryana. In the tweet, Home Minister said that “he has been tested positive, but his health is fine and with the advice of the doctors, he is being hospitalised”. He also requested all those who have came in contact with him in the last few days to isolate themselves and get the inquiry done.
The sources also said that extensive tracing will be done and anyone who came in contact with the Home Minister will have to self-isolate.

On Wednesday, Mr. Shah has taken part in the cabinet meeting in which all the top ministers were present including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. All of the safety norms, including the social distancing, was followed at this crucial meet where the new policy of education was approved.

According to the sources, strict protocols were followed at PM’s official residence, where the cabinet meeting was held. Most of the PM Modi’s meetings were held online, but cabinet meeting was not a part of it. It cannot be done virtually.
Union Minister Babul Supriyo tweeted “I met Honable Shri@AmitShah day before in the evening. I am advised by the doctors to confine myself and stay away from the family members for the next few days with a test to be done very soon. I shall abide all the precautionary measures as per the protocol”.
The country has logged more than 17 lakh cases of the pandemic today adding to 1 lakh more patients in just two days. Kamal Rani Varun (Minister) at 62 died at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences this morning in Lucknow. Last week, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan tested positive for the coronavirus and he has been in hospital from nine days. He tweeted today that he is well and from the hospital itself he tweeted a get-well-soon message for Home Minister Amit Shah to recover soon to serve the nation full of energy and our best wishes are with you.
