Dr. Suresh Kumar, Medical director of LNJP Hospital has informed that at the International airport of Delhi during the ongoing activities of the travel rules imposed on the International travelers the authority which was looking over it have informed that 12 Omicron cases were suspected on the site and were referred to the LNJP hospital. Dr. Suresh Kumar who was treating the COVID positive patients at LNJP hospital said that out of the 12 suspected cases 8 were detected COVID positive in their RT– PCR report while one has sore throat, headache and low grade fever.

The authorities of the LNJP hospital have given the information that the samples of the suspected individual were sent for genome sequencing to check if they were really infected with the Omicron variant.
This news has really created a threatening environment among the individuals as some days ago 2 people were already found affected by the new variant of COVID 19 named Omicron in Karnataka and now 12 were suspected which indicates that this 2nd wave has started spreading in our country.
Now if the government will not take necessary precautions for safeguarding the people of the country. Then the condition might get worse as earlier as more people will get affected and the death rate of the people might increase.
